It’s fair to say that summer 2020 is shaping up to look a little different that we all thought it would. With easing of the lockdown for some, attention might be turning to a break away. This might be a staycation, some afternoons spent in the park or on the beach (at social distance), or perhaps further afield. Whatever summers looks like for you, the addition of a great book can help to while away the hours and help with a sense of escape.
This month, Somerset Library Service have selected six books they think make the perfect summer companions. Whether it’s escaping to a fabulous rural setting on the pages or cooling off with some spine tingling thrillers, there’s something for everyone. This month’s list includes:
