South West based Nina Stibbe is a British author. She left her hometown of Leicestershire as a young woman and became a live in Nanny for Editor of the London Review of Books Mary-Kay Wilmers. During her time in this job, she studied humanities at the Thames Polytechnic.
After graduating, she began a career in book publishing over the course of which she worked her way up to Commissioning Editor at Routledge.
Nina’s time as a Nanny in Mary-Kay’s house is well documented in her book Love,Nina.
