It’s April Fool’s day. It’s also new featured reading list day for the Reading Passport and if we say so ourselves there are some seriously great reads on it this month.
In these strange times it’s important to take some time to escape from the severity of the news and lose yourself in a good book.
Inspired by our friends at Bath and North East Somerset’s theme for this month, we’ve put together a reading list of five titles from the World Book Night list for you to enjoy:
The ‘motivation and hope YA’ pick – Things a Bright Girl Can Do by Sally Nicholls
The ‘who am I? What’s my name?’ pick – The Man I Think I Know by Mile Gayle
The ‘keep calm and carry on’ pick – Stiff Upper Lip, Jeeves by P.G. Wodehouse
The ‘decadent escapism’ pick – The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
The ‘inspiration in times of adversity’ pick – The Salt Path by Raynor Winn
We hope you’ll find something here to enjoy and to dive into over the course of the month. Don’t forget to join the celebrations for World Book Night online on 23rd April. Click here to find out more.
