Love, Nina is a 2014 book by Nina Stibbe. Documenting her time as a live-in Nanny for Mary-Kay WIlmers and her two sons, the book is an epistolary autobiography comprising the letters that Nina sent to her sister Victoria during the period.
The letters have become much loved by readers for their blatant honesty about Nina’s feelings concerning the literary and ‘bookish’ people she meets whilst at Mary-Kay’s house.
The book is filled with the extraordinary everydayness of life which is complemented by Stibbe’s exceptionally well timed comedy.
What is highlighted in this book is a heart-warming sense of family and the correct protocol for reviving a rose bouquet…
