Susan Lewis was born in Bristol in 1956. She worked at television network HTV in Bristol before moving to Thames Television in London.
After asking controller of Thames Television what it took to be a success and being told ‘oh, go away and write something’, she did and her debut novel, A Class Apart was published in 1988 Lewis has written more than twenty-five novels since. Her novels have been nominated for the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s Romantic Novel of The Year Award twice, in 2002 and 2005.
